HAND-101
This test consists of English gages including a 6 inch caliper, a 1 inch micrometer and a 0.030 inch travel test indicator.
The intent of this ILC/PT is to provide a means for participant laboratories to determine the appropriateness and effectiveness of participant practices, training, and measurement uncertainty calculations relating to the calibration of hand tools and gages.
Reference values are obtained by mechanical comparison to gage blocks, height gages or indicator calibrators. This program is suitable for participants who measure hand tools by mechanical comparison or similar methods, whose uncertainties are not significantly smaller than the typical reference uncertainties, and who calculate their uncertainties per the method of the ISO GUM.
Test period is from Monday through the following Tuesday.
